PURPOSE: To provide a good sliding characteristic and mechanical properties to sliding parts by casting an alloy forming the sliding surface thereof and an alloy forming the body thereof in a half-molten state into a molding die and molding the alloys into an integral part and joining by fusion the boundary of the two parts.
CONSTITUTION: A high-Si Al alloy slurry 7 is cast to about 1mm thickness on the base 9 of a die 8 and a sliding surface 10 on a swash plate side is formed in the stage of producing, for example, slipper parts of a cooler for an automobile. A composite Al alloy slurry 11 is then cast into the slurry 7 and is pressurized by a pressurizing cylinder 12 from above the die 8 to solidify and form a sliding surface 13 on a ball side. The boundary surface 14 of both slurries is fused and united together.
