PURPOSE: To enable control of a controller by generated output of a thermocouple, by constituting the controller of a combuster with a power source of the thermocouple which is heated by a heat source of the combustor and generates energy for energizing a battery.

CONSTITUTION: When igniting, output of a thermocouple 8 is small, therefore, output of a comparator 18 which is actuated by its signal is high. A switch 22 is turned off by this high signal, and voltage of a battery 1 is applied to an igniter 23 for generation of high voltage. This high voltage transmitted to an ignition plug 7 is discharged to a burner 6 for ignition of gas. When the gas is ignited and the thermocouple 8 is heated by its flame, its output voltage is increased. When output reaches a fixed value, the output of the comparator 18 becomes low, the switch 22 is turned off and the igniter is suspended its operation. Combustion is kept on in this manner. Electric control without using a commercial electric power source becomes possible as self-generated output through the thermocouple is applied like this.
