PURPOSE: To execute calling and caulking of a rivet continuously by one reciprocating operation of a pressure member, by energizing a calling member for holding a receiving base shaft so as to be freely slidable, in the direction of the pressure member by stronger force than that of the receiving base shaft.

CONSTITUTION: When a piston rod 17 is dropped by pressurized oil, a sheet metal 43 is pinch-pressed between a rivet and a receiving base shaft 32. When the rivet 42 is dropped by being pressed by a pressure member 21, the sheet metal 43 is pierced by the tip of the rivet 42, and a lower end 45 of the receiving base shaft 32 press-contacts with a bottom surface 34 of a spring chamber 24. The lower end of the rivet 42 is crushed, a calling member 26 is dropped by being pressed by the pressure member 21, the rivet 42 is crushed, and caulking is executed. When the caulking has been completed, oil pressure is released, the piston is moved upwards by restoring force of the compression spring, the calling member 26 and the receiving base shaft 32 are returned to the original positions, and the crushed caulking part is pressed by the receiving base part 32 and is extruded from a center hole 31. At the same time, punched refuse of the sheet metal is also discharged to the outside, and a series of calling-caulking work is completed.
