PURPOSE: To weld plastic tubes with sufficient pressure and with reduced inside burrs by a method wherein the end of the flare part of a preset plastic tube end is heated and melted and the end is welded to the heated flange surface of a plastic tube joint tube.
CONSTITUTION: The flange surface 110 at the joint end of a polyolefin plastic tube 1 and the end 210 of a polyolefin plastic tube 2 are brought into contact with a circular heating jig 3 to fuse the flange surface 110 and the flare end 210. Afterwards, the circular heating jig 3 is removed and the end 210 of the heated flare part at the tube end is welded to the heated flange surface 110 at the joint end. Particularly, if a notch 12 is provided on the inner circumferential edge of the flange surface at the end of the joint, molten plastics can be absorbed by this notch part 12 and burrs can be reduced strikingly. Since the root of the flare part is not melted there remains hardness enough to carry out welding under sufficient surface pressure.
