Title:
DRIVING METHOD FOR LIQUID JET RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60157873
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To inhibit electrochemical reactions and prolong the service life of a liquid jet recorder, by impressing a voltage on electrodes only when driving an electro-thermal converter.

CONSTITUTION: The electrodes for a heating resistor layer of a liquid jet recording head 13 are connected to the driving side of two drivers 11, respectively. A signal from a signal source 15 is inputted to the two drivers 11. The driving side of each of the drivers 11 is turned ON or OFF in accordance with the signal. When the driving side of the drivers is turned OFF, no voltage is impressed on the heating resistor layer or the electrodes of the head, so that electrochemical reactions between the heating resistor and the electrodes can be inhibited.
