Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make full use of cold temperature in time of the shipment of low temperature liquefied gas for the reliquefaction of generating gas, by housing each metallic hydride different in type separately, while installing each heat transfer passage interconnecting both shipment and generating gas lines in one side of two cases connected through a hydrogen gas passage. CONSTITUTION:Generating gas inside a cryostat storage tank 1 is led into a heat transfer passage 4 of a case 2 whereby heat decomposition in a metallic hydride A is accelerated and hydrogen gas pressure rises in consequence. Another metallic hydride B is cooled by the cooling fluid led into a case and thereby a flow of hydrogen gas from the case 2 to the case 3 takes place there so that this flow is left maintained till the inside of the case 3 is saturated with the metallic hydride. The generating gas led into the heat transfer passage 4 is reliquefied, collected into a drum 8 and then sent back to the cryostat storage tank 1 or joined to a shipment line. Reaction inside the case 2 advances and since the hydrogen gas is lost whereby the metallic hydride A decreased to some extent, a shipment liquid is made to flow into the case 2 and cooled, while a heating fluid is made to flow into the case 3, opening an intercept valve 17, and the hydrogen gas is freely moved between both cases 2 and 3.
