Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a less expensive anti-oscillation bearing having a simple construction and performing a stable operation even in a low viscosity lubricating fluid by a method wherein a wedging pressure generated between the bearing surface and the rotary shaft is guided to a space or clearance between the bearing and the housing. CONSTITUTION:As the shaft 2 is rotated, a pressurized lubricating fluid film is formed between the shaft 2 and the bearing surface 3A of the bearing 3 under a wedging film action. A part of the pressurized lubricating fluid passes through a communication hole 10 made in the bearing 3 and then flows into the clearance between the outer circumferential surface 3b of the bearing 3 and the inner circumferential surface 1A of the housing 1. Since the fluid keeps a pressure generated under a wedging film effect, the fluid lubricating film under a static bearing action is formed at the clearance, the fluid film provides both a spring action and a damping action so as to damp and eliminate an oscillation exciting force of the fluid lubricating film at the bearing surface 3A.
