Abstract:
PURPOSE: A cosmetic for improving dried skin, preventing aging of skin, providing skin with wetting characteristics, softness and luster by promoting water retention function of skin, containing cholesteryl sulfate and/or its salt.
CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic containing 0.01W5wt% (preferably 0.05W3wt%) cholesteryl sulfate and/or its salt. This cosmetic can promote water retention function of skin by normalizing functions between cells of corneum and by making structure of corneum cells dense. Since this cosmetic does not require a large amount of wetting agent and a softener as it is required conventionally, there is no fear of inhibition of normal physiological functions of skin caused by the compounding agents.
