Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity to long wavelength light and superior in chargeability by using specified metal- free phthalocyanine having a longer axis diameter specified in length as an electrostatic charge generating substance.
CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate a ≤ about 20μm thick charge generating layer contg. (A) a metal-free phthalocyanine compd. selected from τ, τ', η, and η' types and having a longer axis of 1W5μm diameter, and a 5W100μm thick charge transfer layer contg. (B) a charge transfer substance, preferably, a positive hole transfer type substance having an ionization potential of ≤ about 6.6eV.
