Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a mint oil composition stabilized against oxidation and free from carcionogenicity, and a chewing gum composition containing the same.
CONSTITUTION: A composition containing a mint oil selected from the group comprising peppermint oil, spearmint oil, cornmint oil, scotch spearmint oil and a mixture thereof; 0.05 to 3.0% wt.% of a tocopherol mixture blended with mint oil (the tocopherol mixture contains 7 to 15% wt.% of α-tocopherol, 45 to 70 wt.% of γ-tocopherol and 20 to 35 wt.% of ε-tocopherol) is provided.
