Abstract:
A toilet device has a distance measuring section for measuring the distance to an obstacle, and a deciding section. The deciding section compares a preset threshold value with the measured value from the distance measuring section. If the measured value from the distance measuring section is smaller than the threshold value, it is decided that a human body is present. This threshold value can be changed. In this arrangement, when a toilet device is to be installed in a large toilet room, the threshold value for the deciding section may be changed to a greater value, so that a person entering the toilet room can be immediately detected.
