Abstract:
To provide a handrail device for a toilet, with a backrest vertically adjustable to allow a user to use the backrest at an appropriate height in accordance with the body type and the body condition of the user.SOLUTION: A handrail device 10 for a toilet, to be assembled to a Western-style bedpan 50 in use, includes: an integrated frame 11 with a pair of right and left base members 11a having first pivotally supporting portions α1 connected with each other via connection members 11b passing in front of the bedpan 50; a pair of right and left horizontal rotation members 12 mounted on the first pivotally supporting portions α1 in a horizontally rotatable state, and having second pivotally supporting portions α2 at positions deviated in a horizontal direction from the first pivotally supporting portions α1, and third pivotally supporting portions α3 behind the second pivotally supporting portions α2; a pair of right and left armrests 13 mounted on the second pivotally supporting portions α2 in a horizontally rotatable state; and a pair of right and left backrests 14 mounted on the third pivotally supporting portions α3 in a vertically rotatable state. Thereby, positions of the backrests 14 can be adjusted not only in an inner/outer direction but also in a vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
