Abstract:

To determine adhesion of soil to a window part appropriately.SOLUTION: A toilet seat device is a toilet seat device placed on a toilet bowl where a bowl part for receiving excrement is formed, and includes: a toilet seat on which a user sits; a light emitting part having a light emitting element for radiating light; a light receiving part having a light receiving element for receiving light; a transparent window part provided in front of at least one of the light emitting element and the light receiving element; a control part for controlling electrification to the light emitting element and application of a voltage to the light receiving element; and a lid part provided in front of the window part, which is freely opened or closed, the opening and closing being controlled by the control part. The toilet seat device radiates light from the light emitting part in a state that the lid part is closed, and executes determination processing for determining presence or absence of adhesion of soil to the window part according to whether output of the light receiving part satisfies a condition for soil detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
