Abstract:
The present invention provides a toilet seat device that protects an electric motor and a motor drive circuit from a counter electromotive force of a motor that opens and closes a toilet seat while suppressing an increase in cost and an increase in size of the toilet seat device. The toilet seat device includes the electric motor, the motor drive circuit, a transformer, and a control device. The electric motor opens and closes the toilet seat or a cover, and the motor drive circuit supplies electric power from a power source to the motor to rotate the motor forward or reverse, and stops the electric power supplied from the power source to the motor; the transformer converts the voltage from the power source, and the control device receives the supply of electric power from the transformerso as to control the motor drive circuit. When the power source does not supply the electric power, and the transformer supplies the electric power based on the motor counter electromotive force formed along manual opening and closing of the toilet seat or the toilet cover, the control device controls the motor drive circuit so as to rotate the motor forward, reverse or stop the motor.
