Abstract:
To provide a toilet which can emit a sufficient amount of light onto a wide range on a bowl surface using a few light sources.
When a toilet washing switch such as a remote control, is operated, a water supply control valve is opened for a given time to let washwater flow out of a floodway 4, which forms swirling water S on the bowl surface. While the washwater is flowing out of the floodway 4, light is emitted from a light source 6. The light is lead through the washwater flowing through the floodway 4 and a shelf-like channel 5, and through the washwater flowing down along the bowl surface, to fall in sufficient amount onto a wide range on the bowl surface. The light may be UV-rays or visible light.
