Abstract:
To provide a toll collection system that can collect a toll with a simple apparatus configuration without a collector going to a lane in the lane equipped with an electronic toll collection system.SOLUTION: A toll collection system includes: an automatic toll collection machine that performs a second toll collection process to collect a toll form a non-target vehicle for which the toll cannot be collected by a first toll collection process of an electronic toll collection system among vehicles travelling in a lane equipped with the electronic toll collection system; a notification unit that notifies entry of the non-target vehicle into the lane; and a first monitoring panel that accepts an operation by a collector who remotely monitors the automatic toll collection machine, and instructs the automatic toll collection machine to start the second toll collection process for the non-target vehicle, when the notification unit notifies the entry of the non-target vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
