Abstract:
To provide an excellent toner binder that satisfies all of low-temperature fixability, hot-offset resistance, heat-resistant storage stability, charge stability, image intensity, image transport damage resistance, document offset properties, and durability.SOLUTION: A toner binder contains a crystalline polyester resin (A) and an amorphous vinyl resin (B). In the toner binder, the polyester resin (A) has a peak top temperature (Tm) of an endothermic peak of 60 to 74°C and a hydroxyl value (OHVA) of 6.0 to 40.0 mgKOH/g, where the ratio [OHVA/AVA] of the hydroxyl value (OHVA) to an acid value (AVA) is 1.0 to 3.0, and a number average molecular weight, the hydroxyl value, and the acid value satisfy the following relational expression (1); the vinyl resin (B) includes a styrene monomer as a constitutional monomer.
