To provide a toner container capable of preventing deterioration in image quality and a failure in an image forming apparatus.
The toner container includes: a screw conveying toner in the container to a discharge port; a coupling part (12) fixed to one end of the screw and including a protruding part (17) connected to a driving part of the image forming apparatus; and a raised portion (18) provided on an outer circumferential surface of the coupling part (12). The raised portion (18) presses a push button (62) of a switch (60) for detecting a type of the toner container when the coupling part (12) is rotated. The switch (60) is provided at an image forming apparatus side. The raised portion (18) includes a pressing surface (19) and a connection surface (20). The pressing surface (19) includes a height along a radial direction of the coupling part (12), and a length along a circumferential direction of the coupling part (12). The connection surface (20) connects the pressing surface (19) with the protruding part (17).
