PURPOSE: To control a temperature on the heat generating body pattern of an insulating substrate to a prescribed temperature in a short time and to accomplish a high speed copying by forming the insulating substrate with the heat generating body pattern stuck and formed of glass having low thermal conductivity.
CONSTITUTION: On the upper surface of the insulating substrate 1 made of glass, the heat generating body pattern 2 is stuck and formed in a belt-like state, and the insulating substrate 1 is applied as a supporting member for supporting the heat generating body pattern 2. And the width(t1) of both end parts of the heat generating body pattern 2 is specified within the extent of 0.85t2≤t1≤0.95t2 (provided that (t2) means the width of the central part). Further, a covering member 3 is stuck on the upper surface of the insulating substrate 1 provided with the heat generating body pattern 2 on its upper surface so as to cover the heat generating body pattern 2 with the covering member 3. And by impressing a prescribed power on the heat generating body pattern 2 so as to generate the heat and also making a copying paper provided with non-fixation toner image pass through the toner fixing device and a pressing roll and fixing the non-fixation toner image on the copying sheet, the toner fixing device functions as the thermal fixing device for an electrophotographic copying machine, etc.
