To provide an excellent toner for image formation which provides appropriate image gloss and has excellent offset preventiveness even in a fixing system which does not involve coating application of a mold release oil to a fixing roller or in which the oil coverage is made slight.
The toner for image formation contains at least a colorant and a binder resin, wherein the binder resin contains a denatured polyester-based resin (C) obtained by reacting a denatured polyester-based resin (A) having an area reactable with a compound having an active hydrogen group and an extender/crosslinking agent (B) and an undenatured polyester-based resin (D), and the denatured polyester-based resin (C) is dispersed in the toner at ≤400 nm in the linear length at the toner section.
