Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the cost by making a toner sensor light in weight and small in size and further, facilitating adjustment.
CONSTITUTION: In a sensor constituted so that a differential transformer is composed of primary coils 2a and 2b and two secondary coils 3 and 4 electromagnetically coupled to the primary coils and the output signal of the differential transformer and a reference signal are inputted to a phase detector to detect the concentration and remaining amount of toner in accordance with differential output, the toner sensor is constituted in such a manner that the primary coils and two secondary coils are arranged one on top of the other respectively.
