Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a tool for inspecting an airtightness and a pressure- resistance property at a portion of a welded junction easily without pressuring an entire piping system of the welded joint at the tip of the piping.
CONSTITUTION: A tool for inspecting airtightness of a welded joint at the tip of a pipe allows an elastic seal member 4 which is engaged to a taper portion to be pressed, its diameter to be increased, and the elastic seal member 4 to be adhered to an inner surface of the pipe, thus forming a closed space including the welded joint. A pressed fluid is introduced into this closed space and the space is pressurized, thus enabling an airtightness and a pressure-resistance property of the welded joint to be inspected.
