Abstract:
To improve calculus lithotomy in reliability by taking out calculi from the body cavity in a simple way while protecting the body cavity from damages.
The calculus lithotomy tool 1 includes a tubular catheter 2 having an outlet 2a at its end, an injection means 3 connected with the base end of the catheter 2 and containing an injection agent A, which is injected into the catheter 2 and discharged from the outlet 2a, and a catcher 5 arranged ahead of the outlet 2a at the end of the catheter 2 for seizing the calculi. The injection agent A contains a temperature-sensing polymer that becomes sol at temperatures lower than the body temperature and is gelatinized at temperatures equal to or higher than the body temperature.
