Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool data display method with which numerical control(NC) information can be prepared for using tools mounted on a machine as much as possible, namely, NC information can be prepared for switching works in a short time by displaying tool data on the side of a numerical controller at an NC information preparing device.
SOLUTION: The tool data having the same tool number as a tool number contained in tool data sent out of a process data managing part 3 are extracted from a tool data storage part 8 of a numerical controller 10 by a tool data extracting part 7 and sent out to a picture preparing part 5'. Based on tool form data contained in these tool data, the picture preparing part 5' displays the rough drawing of tools on a display device 6. Tool data having the same tool form data as the tool form data contained in the process data outputted from the process data managing part 3 are extracted from the tool data storage part 8 of the numerical controller 10 by the tool data extracting part 7 and sent out to the picture preparing part 5'. The picture preparing part 5' displays the tool data containing the tool numbers on the display device 6.
