Abstract:
To provide a tool determination device and a tool determination method which can determine a processing surface of a tool in a short time and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A tool determination device 20 determines a state of a processing surface 40 of a wire 11 that is a tool of a wire saw 10. A learning tool 51 learnt using teacher data 53 and a determination image 50 that are used in the determination are memorized in a memorizing part 34 of an electronic control device 30. Images constituting the teacher data 53 and the determination image 50 are constituted of a plurality of images extending in a moving direction of the wire 11 cut out from the photographed image of the processing surface 40 of the wire 11, which are arranged and interfaced in a direction crossing the moving direction. The electronic control device 30 outputs an index value of a state of the processing surface 40 corresponding to the determination image 50, from the learnt learning tool 51 memorized in the memorizing part 34, with the determination data 50 set as input data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
