To provide a locking mechanism for locking or releasing locking of a tool tapered part in the tool holder of a tool magazine, capable of facilitating quick and safe lock releasing or locking of the tool tapered part, and to perform efficient loading/unloading of the tool magazine or efficient tool replacement by simple means.
A tool holder includes a first fastening element 10 set so that locking means 10, 11, 12, and 16 are movable in an axial direction and moved from a first position to a second position in the axial direction, a tool tapered part 8 stored in storage means 13 is locked when the first fastening element 10 is at the first position, the tool tapered part 8 stored in the storage means 13 is lock-released when the first fastening element 10 is at the second position, the first fastening element 10 has a first fastening part 10a, and the first fastening part 10a projects from the tool holder 6 in the axial direction on a second side opposite to the first side of the tool holder 6.
