Title:
TOOL HOLDING STRUCTURE FOR MACHINE TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02232135
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To dissolve inconvenience based on the existence of a bearing for fitting a nozzle by fitting a tool holder for holding a machining tool and a nozzle at a machine tool main body separately in the removable state.

CONSTITUTION: A tool holder 10 has a taper shank part 14 mounted at the spindle head of a machine tool main body 12 such as a machining center and is provided with a flange part 16 and a holder drum part 18 following this taper shank part 14, and a machining tool 20 such as a grindstone is provided. A nozzle 24 for a cooling medium is bent approximately in 'L' shape as a whole, and its opening 26 is positioned facing the machining tool 20. This nozzle 24 is separated from the tool holder 10 and fitted at the machine tool main body 12 independently in the removable state. As the tool holder 10 and the nozzle 24 are thus fitted at the machine tool main body 12 separately in the removable state, the tool holder 10 and the nozzle 24 have separate structure, and thereby a bearing between them becomes unnecessary.
