Title:
TOOL INDEXING DEVICE FOR MACHINE TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3672995
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool indexing device for a machine tool, which can substantially dispense with disassembly of a tool bed when the centering of a tool indexing position is carried out, and the necessity of driving of a tapered pin so that no machining of a tapered hole is required so as to prevent generation of chips, and which can easily carry out the centering in a short time.
SOLUTION: An outer peripheral movable side coupling 17A which is rotated together with a turret head (tool attaching member) rotatably supported a tool bed 5, is turned by a predetermined angle so as to mesh a facing movable side coupling 17B is meshed with the coupling 17A and a stationary side coupling 16 attached to the tool bed 5 so as to index and position a tool K. The stationary side coupling 16 is supported so as to be rotatable coaxially with the outer peripheral movable side coupling 17A by the tool bed 5 in a condition in which the coupling 16 is released from the tool bed 5. A micro-adjusting means 20 for indexing the stationary side coupling 16 so as to turn the same by a finely small angle about the indexing axis is provided between the stationary side coupling 16 and the tool bed 5.
