PURPOSE: To conduct exchange of tool magazine with safety and rapidly, by making it possible for a tool magazine and a rotary board, which is capable of supporting and advancing the tool magazine, to be joined and separated with each other by advancing the magazine perpendicularly to rotary axial line.
CONSTITUTION: A rail 73 supporting a tool magazine 30 is provided at outside of a machine. A magazine receiving table 21 is connected to the rail 73. And then, by rising of a pressing lever 47, a clamper 45 is turned to nonoperating position. While keeping this condition, when the magazine 30 which had travelled by itself on the rail 73 by operation of a motor 34 advanced to the receiving table 21 and stopped by contact between the front end surface 30a and a stopper 44, operation of the motor 34 is stopped, the pressing lever 47 is lowered, the stopper 45 is actuated by the force of a spring 46, and the tool magazine 30 is positioned on the center of the receiving table 21 and fixed. Exchange of tools is conducted between a main axis 10 and the tool magazine 30 in this condition.
