Title:
TOOL REPLACEMENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3019618
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To quickly replace tools in a tool replacement device of a machining center in which each tool within a tool magazine is so devised as to be directly mounted onto a main spindle.
CONSTITUTION: When a drive motor 22 is driven, a second turning arm 53 is turned by means of the guide bead body of a drum cam, and a second table 12 at the standby position C is then moved, so that a tool magazine 13 is allowed to hold the tool holder T of a spindle 5. Next, a first rack body allows a first turning arm 41 to be similarly turned by means of the guide bead body, a first table 10 is then moved together with the tool magazine 13 to the front end, so that the tool holder T is pulled out. And next, tool indexing for the tool magazine 13 is performed, subsequently, the drum cam is reversely rotated, the guide bead body allows the first table 10 to be moved to the original rear end, and the tool holder T is mounted onto the spindle 5, so that a tool K is thereby exchanged. Next, the second table 12 is moved so as to be returned back to the standby position C with the guide bead body reversely rotated.
