Abstract:
PURPOSE: To conduct effectively the strengthening processing of the tooth root or tooth bottom vicinity of a processed gear work by means of a simple facility.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of the outer periphery shape of a tooth tip portion 2a at a tool 2 for tooth bottom roll, the number of a simultaneous contact point between the tool 2 and a processed gear work 1 is made to be one point with a crossing angle Σ between the tool 2 and the processed gear work 1, and also the tooth tip portion 2a of the tool 2 is provided in recess in a circular arc shaped hand drum form butting against the whole sphere of the tooth width of the processed gear work 1.
