To solve the problem of the difficulty in checking for the perfection of brushing in a conventional tooth brush, for example, in the brushing of back teeth because of the darkness within the mouth.

The tooth brush herein provided has a light emitting means mounted thereon. In the light emitting means, a light emitting diode is imbedded at the tip part of the tooth brush, namely, a site positioned in the mouth during the tooth brushing and is a smaller chip light emitting diode. Otherwise, in the light emitting means, the light emitting diode is imbedded at the part of the handle of the tooth brush and the light emitted is transmitted through a light propagation means of the handle and diffused at the tip part of the tooth brush, namely, the site positioned within the mouth during the tooth brushing.
