Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high mechanical strength, antifreeze resistance by forming the top and base of a tank of a radiator for a vehicle of resin composition formed by melting and kneading polyphenylene sulfide resin, polyphenylene oxide, etc., by injection molding.
CONSTITUTION: In order to obtain the top and base of a tank of a radiator of resin using long life coolant(LLC) as cooling liquid whose strength does not decrease due to contact with high temperature LLC, resin composition formed by melting and kneading 100 pts.wt. of polyphenylenesulfide resin (PPS), 10-20 pts.wt. of polyphenylene oxide(PPO) and 50-400 pts.wt. of fibrous and/or nonfibrous filler is used by injection molding to obtain an object. As the PPS, a polymer represented by a structural formula (I) containing 70mol% or more or preferably 90mol% or more of repetition unit is used, and as the PPO, a polymer represented by a structural formula (II) is used.
