Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top coat for carrying and nursing a baby which does not restrict the movements of the wearer but retains its beautifully designed shape as a top coat.
SOLUTION: In this top coat worn by a user over a baby to carry it at the front or on the back for nursing, the back 6 of the top coat 2 opens vertically at the center into two back pieces 6a, 6b while the front 3 into two front pieces 3a, 3b at the center so that a shielding flap 11 may be inserted between the back pieces 6a, 6b or the front pieces 3a, 3b so as to widen the bodice width of the back 6 or the front 3 when opened, and a tab 9 for preventing slip-off of the top coat at the shoulders is provided along the shoulder line extending between the back pieces 6a, 6b so that when engaged, the tab 9 can retain the neckline of the top coat 2, while when released, it allows the neckline to widen. Alternatively, the shielding flap 11 can further be closed narrower at its hem line.
