Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10317780
Kind Code:

Abstract:

To adjust slide of a sliding door in the inside and outside directions by a top rail fitting by installing the top rail fitting inserted in a lintel groove to the top surface of the sliding door, whereby the sliding door can be used both for right- hand opening and left-hand opening, and in a job site, the position of the top rail and the opening direction of a sliding door can be simply changed.

A top rail fitting of a sliding door comprises a base part 20 fitted to the top surface of a sliding door, a top rail part 30 inserted in a lintel groove provided on the base part 20, and a moving means capable of moving the top rail part 30 in the sliding door inside and outside directions to be adjusted. In this case, an example of an adjusting means comprises a slot 36 which is formed in a fit-in part 35a projected below the top rail part to be loosely fitted in the base part in such a manner as to be moved to the relative side and elongated in the vertical direction, an insert hole 27 which is formed in the base part 20 and substantially aligned with the slot 36 in the longitudinal direction, a rotary shaft 42 which is passed through the insert hole 27 to be extended to the inside and operated in rotation, and an eccentric pin 44 integrally provided on the tip of a rotary shaft 42 with eccentricity to the rotary shaft 42 to be engaged with the slot 36.
