To provide a topknot unit for a Japanese coiffure which enables inexpensive production of a beautiful Japanese coiffure without heavy feeling nor incompatible feeling and with natural hairline.

The topknot unit 10 is attached to the hair of a Japanese coiffure where parts except for a topknot are formed with base hairs of a user, and includes: a hair-like topknot body 11 forming a main part of the hair; a root 12 being a rigid support part supporting the topknot body 11; and a holder 20 which is fixed to the lower part of the root 12 and holds the base hair to fix the topknot unit to the hair where the parts except for the topknot are made up with the base hair. The holder 20 has a fixing frame 21 fixed to the lower part of the root and extending to the front; and a comb teeth-like holding member 22 provided on the lower side of the fixing frame 21.
