Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the toric contact lens which is more exactly prevented from rotating on the cornea and used in safety and gives an excellent feeling of wearing.
CONSTITUTION: The rear surface 2 and front surface 3 of the toric contact lens(TCL) 1 are formed of curved surfaces which differ in curvature, and the center axis of the front surface 3 shifts downward as compared with the center axis of the rear surface 2. Further, the TCL 1 is larger in thickness at the lower part, so the center of gravity moves down. Further, slab-off parts 4 and 5 are formed at the upper and lower parts of the front side of the TCL 1.
