Title:
TOROIDAL-TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004011796
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent a trunnion from bending due to reaction force load that a power roller receives from an input/output disk while dispensing with binding of an upper part of the trunnion of a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission and ensuring the assembly property.

Upper ends of the trunnion 27 supporting the power roller 19 are connected by an upper part support plate 46, and a load providing means 70 is connected with the upper part support plate 46. When the trunnion 27 is driven by a piston 33, bending moment Fp × m in the clockwise direction is generated in each trunnion 27 by reaction force load Fp acting on the power roller 19 from the input/output disk 15, but it is possible to prevent the trunnion 27 from bending and increase torque transmission capacity of the toroidal-type continuously variable transmission by offsetting bending moment Fp × m in the clockwise direction by bending moment Fr × L in the counterclockwise direction by load Fr facing the left direction and generated by the load providing means 70.
