Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type non-stage transmission in which weight of a cylinder body is not increased even if the cylinder body is provided with a concavity and the like and a piston chamber of a hydraulic transmission can be provided without showing any reduction in strength.SOLUTION: In a toroidal type non-stage transmission, a drive cylinder 31 has a two-stage structure having an upper cylinder body 61 positioned near a power roller 11 and a lower cylinder body 62 positioned at a side far from the power roller 11. The upper cylinder 61 of the drive cylinder 31 is formed with a cavity part 100, an outer peripheral end of an integral-type output disc 3A is stored in the cavity part 100, thereby its interference with the outer peripheral end part of the output side disc 3A is avoided. The lower cylinder body positioned at a side far from the power roller 11 is formed with a piston chamber 102 for use in slidably and oil-tightly storing a drive piston 33.
