Abstract:
To enable highly accurate calibration of a rotary torque converter.SOLUTION: A first servo motor 1 is locked, a second servo motor 9 rotates a rectangular coil 5 in an opposite pole facing type magnetic circuit 4 at angular velocity ω, and an angular position po at which all magnetic fluxes and an induced electromotive force penetrating the rectangular coil become the maximum value is preliminarily evaluated. The second servo motor controls torque transferred trough a rotary torque converter 7 such that the angular position of the rectangular coil maintains the po against torque when current is caused to flow to the rectangular coil. The lock of the first servo motor is released, and the first and second servo motors are synchronously rotated to maintain the angular position po. The first or second servo motor is controlled such that the angular position of the rectangular coil maintains the po by change in the current. Thus, a load is applied to the rotary torque converter while rotating torque generated by electromagnetic force, and a third rotary encoder 6 evaluates a rotational velocity on the basis of change in a rotation angle per unit time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
