Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque damper capable of suppressing generation of noise caused by collision of retainers and a cushion assembly in starting compression of the cushion assembly.SOLUTION: A torque damper is composed of a pair of retainers 26 disposed over a spring holder 5 and a driven plate 13, and opposed to each other in the circumferential direction of the spring holder 5 and the driven plate 13, a coiled damper spring 6 disposed between both retainers 26, and a cushion assembly 31 accommodated in a hollow portion of the damper spring 6, and compressed between both retainers 26 when the damper spring 6 is compressed to a prescribed value or more. The cushion assembly 31 is composed of a pair of seat members 40, and an elastic member 41 is baked to the seat members 40 to connect them. The seat members 40 are provided with elastic seat portions 42 projecting from outer end faces to be kept into contact with the retainers 26.
