Title:
TORQUE DISTRIBUTION CONTROL DEVICE FOR FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04218456
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a torque distribution control device capable of making the gain of momentum, generated in association with the steering of a driver on the road surface of a low road surface friction coefficient μ, the same as that on the high μ road surface or close to it in a comparatively easy way.

CONSTITUTION: The target yaw rate is set on the basis of a steering angle and vehicle speed. A lateral distribution ratio setting part 19 is provided to set a torque distribution ratio between left wheels 6, 9 and right wheels 7, 8 so that the actual yaw rate of a vehicle becomes the target yaw rate. The distribution of driving torque to four wheels 6-9 is changed on the basis of the set distribution ratio. The vehicle can be thereby provided with yaw motion corresponding to the steering angle and vehicle speed, that is, the demand of a driver, regardless of the μ grade of the road surface.
