Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in accuracy of detecting approach or touch of an object, or detect a touch in a short time.SOLUTION: A touch detection device includes: a plurality of drive electrodes; a plurality of touch detection electrodes for forming capacitance with the drive electrodes; a signal generation section which generates a plurality of DC signals different in voltage; a first drive section which selectively supplies one of the DC signals to the drive electrode; an element having a predetermined capacitance; a second drive section which selectively supplies one of the DC signals to an end of the element in synchronization with the first drive section; and a detection section which acquires an output value from the touch detection electrode and an output value from the element at the same time, and detects approach or touch of an object, on the basis of a value obtained by correcting the output value from the touch detection electrode with the output value from the element.
