To provide a touch panel device that can improve responsiveness to operation from an operator.SOLUTION: A touch panel device 10 having a touch panel 18 for outputting a signal corresponding to a position contacted by an operator includes: a signal intensity acquisition unit 20 for acquiring an intensity of the signal in each of segments S segmented in a lattice-like form on the touch panel; an index acquisition unit 22 for acquiring an average or variance of the intensity of the signal in each segment; and an operation position acquisition unit 24 for acquiring a position of a segment where the average of the intensity of the signal is equal to or more than a first threshold or the variance of the intensity of the signal is less than a second threshold as an operation position of the operator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
