To provide a tow prepreg which can be used preferably for manufacturing a pressure container and the like made from a fiber reinforced composite material, especially to provide a tow prepreg which can provide a good fiber reinforced composite material with little defects such as void and has excellent performance which cannot be obtained by conventional technologies.
A tow prepreg contains a carbon fiber tow and an epoxy resin composition, the carbon fiber tow contains 3000 to 60000 single filaments and a diameter of the single filaments is 4 to 8 μm, the epoxy resin composition is an epoxy resin composition containing (A) an epoxy resin and (B) a grain, (B) the grain is contained with 2.5 to 6.5 pts.vol. in 100 pts.vol. of the epoxy resin composition, the content of particles having a particle diameter of 6 μm or more contained in (B) the grain is 3.0 pts.vol. or less in 100 pts.vol. of the epoxy resin composition, and a percentage content of the epoxy resin composition contained in the tow prepreg is 22 mass% or more.
