Abstract:
To accurately set a center position of a marker when a tow vehicle and a towed vehicle are connected to travel straight regardless of a marker attachment position of the towed vehicle.SOLUTION: A towing support device obtains a knuckle θ between a tow vehicle 100 and a towed vehicle 200 and presents knuckle information to a driver. The device includes an on-vehicle camera 10, a marker center search section 31, an offset correction value estimation processing section 32, a rotation axis position estimation processing section 33, and a knuckle calculation section 36. The offset correction value estimation processing section 32 stores center positions of a marker 220 during straight traveling of the tow vehicle 100 and the towed vehicle 200, determines a convergence value of the stored center positions of the marker 220, and allows the determined convergence value to be set as an offset correction value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
