Abstract:
To provide a towing support device that can smoothly move a vehicle to be towed to a desired area (a position) while reducing loads on a driver when making the vehicle to travel backward.SOLUTION: The towing support device comprises: an acquiring part that acquires a coupling angle between a towing vehicle and a vehicle to be towed; a setting part that sets a target area to which at least the vehicle to be towed can move; a route acquiring part that acquires a transition of a travelling route on which the vehicle to be towed moves based on change in the coupling angle when the towing vehicle travels backward; and an output part that outputs a first steering angle of the towing vehicle for maintaining the coupling angle when the travelling route that is transited corresponding to the backward travelling of the towing vehicle is a recommended travelling route on which the vehicle to be towed can be moved to the target area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
