PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy capable of providing diversified light source effects without separate battery or charger, and operation method for the toy.SOLUTION: A toy 100 includes: a radio signal reception part that receives a radio signal for reading a wireless tag 300 from a wireless reader device 200 located in the periphery of the toy including one or more light-emitting devices; a coil part for generating induced electromotive force from the radio signal; and a control part that is connected to the coil part and executes control to apply a drive power supply based on the induced electromotive force, to one or more light-emitting devices.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
