To provide a device capable of accurately recognizing as an obstacle even when ballast 13 exists on a sleeper 14 in a track structure identifying device 4 installed on a working vehicle 1 performing track maintenance of a railroad, to identify a track structure while moving on a track.
This track structure identifying device 4 is provided with two camera devices 5, 6, a position detector 7 for detecting the position of the working vehicle 1 on the track, and an image processor 8. Two camera devices 5, 6 are arranged to generate parallax in the moving direction of the working vehicle 1. The image processor 8 carries out height computing processing for computing the height of an object by the principle of a stereoscopic vision method based on viewing with two eyes from each image photographed by two camera devices 5, 6, identification processing for identifying the track structure from a height computed value, and position specifying processing for specifying the position of the track structure identified based on position information from the position detector 7.
