To provide a traction device capable of curing a whole lumbar including a sacroiliac joint.

This traction device comprises a bed 12 on which a patient lies on his back and an elevation mechanism 13 for lifting the knees of the patient in the vertical direction of the bed 12, providing for relief of the front curved portion of the lumbar of the patient with the basin floated. With the basin of the patient floated, the lumbar is curved throughout its length in the opposite direction to the front curved portion, and so the back of an intervertebral joint of the lumbar is opened and the oppression of the intervertebral joint is improved. Since the knees are lifted up, the sacroiliac joints is set free, so that the sacroiliac joints can be remedied by the weight of the basin and the force of the muscle. Therefore, the whole lumbar can be cured including the sacroiliac joints.
